Guided Course – Sequencing handling techniques 1

OneMind Dogs Coach Katelyn Scott will take handlers through 8 different handling techniques and how to apply them to small sequences. This guided course is great for dog/handler teams that know how to do jumps and tunnels, and have an understanding of basic OneMind Dogs handling techniques. If you have not yet covered the technique that is being used, we have a mini course you can take first to familiarise yourself and your dog with that technique before applying it in a sequence.

What will you learn?

Learn why and how techniques are applied in a sequence for different types of dog and handler teams and start seeing where to use techniques on a course by understanding the dog’s line in several different contexts. You will learn why and how a technique is used to make course reading easy – a key element to being the best possible teammate for your dog!

How does it work?

Katelyn will post regular lessons in the forum, based on our course maps for technique training. Katelyn will show you how to break down the handling and training of these small sequences as well as posting video of multiple different dogs running the courses.

Katelyn will give detailed feedback to participants and will share tips from her experience of teaching these techniques to hundreds of different dogs and handlers. Even if you are able to handle the technique already, you can still learn a lot from this course.

The power of this course is in the community and many people around the world doing the exercises at the same time! Katelyn will give you some tips videos, guidelines and regular tasks to follow.

You can ask questions and post videos to receive feedback and advice from other OneMind Dogs community members, and Katelyn will also pop-in regularly to tackle some of the most common issues with you and give feedback as needed.
