Learn To Use The Tools You've Got!

One of the core ideas of OneMind Dogs method is to teach handlers think about the lines instead of obstacles, but how can you learn to do that? One of the first steps is to learn to see what shape of a jumping line the different handling choices create for your dog.

Learning to execute a handling technique can be a mechanical exercise, and you will get better at it by each repetition. Learning to apply the techniques on an agility course, on the other hand, requires deeper understanding of the dog's perspective, and the dog's running lines.

To be able to actually understand the function of each handling technique and to learn to recognize the situations where you can use them, you will need to understand the shape of the line each specific technique creates for the dog.

Learn to apply several different handling techniques in one simple exercise of 4 jumps!

The leading OneMind Dogs Coach Janita Leinonen introduces the purpose and shape of the dog's line of 12 different techniques for her students in two Next Level online seminar episodes:

As a OneMind Dogs premium member you can practice the exercises of these two videos, and support your learning by checking the details of each technique on the handling technique videos.
