The exciting Finnish Team Tryout competition was held last weekend in very unique settings.
The event took place in Rovaniemi, which is located in Lapland, Northern Finland, close to the Arctic Circle. The competition arena was next to the beautiful Ounasvaara hill. The competitors got to admire the gorgeous view to from the top of Ounasvaara while walking the dogs in the forest. You could also run into a pack of reindeer close to the competition site. The location of this important agility event was a real experience in itself to many of the competitors.
The 2-day event started with two courses, jumping and agility, on Saturday. 114 large dogs, 108 medium dogs and 110 small dogs had qualified and been entered on the competition. A total of 44 dogs per height group got to continue their journey on Sunday and run three more courses (agility – jumping – agility). You could really feel the excitement in the Ounashalli arena during the finals. The handlers were pushing themselves to their limits and giving their best shot. The audience was holding their breath during the most impressive runs.

OneMind Dogs is proud to announce that there were four OneMind Dogs handlers & dogs in the top 4 of class large dogs! Janita Leinonen won the competition with Fu, Raisa Vähätalo achieved the second place with Repo, Tuulia Liuhto was placed 3rd with Pirtu and Jaakko Suoknuuti was 4th with Zen.
