Dog's Perspective - Question 2
Lesson Quiz
Your handler is starting a Front Cross on the jump, planning for you to turn right after jumping. What would you like to do here and why?
I think she said “right”, so that’s where I’ll turn. What humans say is the most important thing we dogs follow. Your words make sense to us from the moment we start training together!
I know that when my handler has got that look on her face she wants me to turn right, so I’d better do that, or else!
I will either jump wide or run into the tunnel because my handler is handling the obstacle instead of the turn. All her handling elements are supporting going forwards - there are no elements telling me to turn.
