Who's it for?

This is for you, if you have a basic understanding of the OneMind Dogs method and want to learn how to apply the theory to the types of courses you are most likely to run. Premium membership in OneMind Dogs’ online service or being coached by one of the OneMind Dogs coaches gives you sufficient basic understanding.

If your dog can sequence jumps and tunnels, and you want some tools to better understand what your dog is thinking - and handle her accordingly - then this is for you! We will give you solutions to help you successfully complete the most common challenges seen in agility courses today.

What will I learn?

Learn how to execute several highly effective OneMind Dogs techniques - from the basics, all the way to sequencing in various scenarios. You will see where these techniques can be applied on course and work out the best timing and handling for you and your dog. We will help you feel like a team on the course, and teach you how to communicate with your dog so you can be truly connected.

You will be amazed at what you and your dog can achieve when you’re speaking the same language!

What’s my level and who are the coaches?

This seminar has two different level groups:

Level 1: A group for learning the most common handling techniques you are going to need on the types of courses you will be running in competitions. Instructors: OneMind Dogs Assistant Coaches Kelly Chaffin and Katelyn Scott with OneMind Dogs Coach Tuulia Liuhto supervising.

Level 2: A group for learning more advanced handling techniques that will give you tools for turning your dog tight and handling your dog from a distance. Instructor: OneMind Dogs Coach Timo Liuhto.

The advanced handling techniques group is meant for teams who are already familiar with the basic OneMind Dogs handling techniques and have practiced them with a OneMind Dogs Coach.

Requirements

OneMind Dogs techniques already make sense from your dog’s perspective so your dog doesn’t need to have much previous agility experience. However, you and your dog should know the basics of agility and have a strong foundation together. Your dog should also be familiar with performing jumps and tunnels in a sequence. Ideally, you have been to a OneMind Dogs foundation seminar or OMD CAMP 2015 / 2016 or you have studied the OneMind Dogs foundation exercises online.

Young dogs are welcome to attend as we can train with low bars.

Please note: It is important that your dog can concentrate on working with you, even in a situation where there are a lot of dogs working at the same time. It is also crucial that your dog is not aggressive towards other dogs or people. The training area is not fully fenced. If you are worried about your dog running away, this is not the seminar for you. Horses from the Surgical Center may be as close as a few hundred feet away.
