I appreciate this article Jaakko, I have noticed some confusion from my young dog on the picture that I am presenting between a send to the back, the Jaakko, and the V Set/Reverse V Set. I think the problem is that as I am understanding them all these techniques involve extending the dog side leg forward and holding your arm low just above the leg. The difference as I am understanding it largely has to do with how much or little of the bar I am allowing him and what I do following his commitment...turning my shoulders with him or against him for example. I have had many situations where I step to the wing to send him to the back and extend my arm giving him little if any view of the bar and he will read Jaakko or V set and try to force himself between me and the wing to take the front side--either hitting me or the wing. Do you have some ideas as to what I might be doing wrong or how I can make this clearer for him?
