Reverse Spin is a very effective handling technique for changing your dog's line after an obstacle or to avoid off-course obstacles that would otherwise appear on your dog’s natural line.
Reverse Spin is particularly useful for handlers who have very independent dogs that read the course well. Handlers with this type of dog don't have time to stop on the course and turn their dog with a rhythm change. It is also a suitable technique for handlers who are not physically able to be at each obstacle to turn their dog, as the Reverse Spin is performed at a distance from the jump and no slow down cues are needed.
