Mikko-Pekka Hanski is a co-founder of global design agency Idean. He’s a OneMind Dogs Advisor, supporting the management team in international growth and sales. Mikko-Pekka has also invested in OneMind Dogs through the crowdfunding campaign.
We asked Mikko-Pekka what his thoughts are about the future of OneMind Dogs.
How do you see the OneMind Dogs direction in the US market?
I think OneMind Dogs has a bright future in North America. Idean started in the US from a clean slate back the day, but OneMind Dogs already has an existing business and market in North America.
I’ve told other investors that dogs are an integral part of American life, starting from presidents. People put a lot of resources in their well-being and the market potential is huge.
Finland has the best school system in the world. If American consumers want the same kind of high-quality education for their dogs, the answer is OneMind Dogs.
What are your thoughts about the OneMind Dogs team?
The OneMind Dogs team has a strong vision and mission that they want to accomplish. These are not people who want to be in the startup world for the sake of it. They are experienced dog training professionals who are driven by meaning and purpose.
What is your message to people who are considering investing in OneMind Dogs?
Finns don’t always understand the scale of the US market. Entering the US market often requires large marketing investments. OneMind Dogs is in a different situation. In their case, company growth can happen with relatively small investments, because everything related to dogs is so personal and important for consumers.
Investors now have the opportunity to be a part of a growth story that can happen faster and more cost effectively than anyone might realize.
