Nice exercise, but stopping "totally?" In the video the dog did not come to a complete stop, but slowed down nicely which is good because stopping totally would result in an R (Refusal) and an NQ.

Hi Phil, some dogs need to be stopped completely and rewarded for doing so to help reinforce the collection, commonly this is saved for dogs with very high obstacle focus and it is a very useful exercise. Once the dog is stopping you can then allow them to jump until you have a smooth transition from collection to jumping as you will see Jaakko explain next week :)
