There are many different ways to handle sequences. There are also many different ways to fail at handling a sequence... ;-) Watch a video from Janita and Jaakko's competitions last weekend.
Dogs always do their best and try to follow the handling signals the handler is giving them. When you're running the course at maximum speed, doing a top level performance, even the best of handlers and dogs sometimes fail. What matters is how you react to failure. Every mistake will teach you something.
